DANGERZONE!
I'm sorry for the lack of posting. I'm afraid that this post isn't really worth reading. However, I think it would be really cool to make an Alamo movie with the following actors:
Stephen Colbert- William B. Travis Robin Williams- Jim Bowie Chuck Norris- Davy Crockett Charlton Heston- Private Jim John Turturro- Santa Anna Ben Affleck and Matt Dameon- Santa Anna's Horse Christopher Walkin- Abraham Lincoln Jay + Silent Bob cameo

| See, whenever I post on this hardly anyone comments. That makes me think no one is reading this. Which I don't mind, it's just because of that I don't think to update it very much. I only really update it when someone tells me that I haven't posted in a while.
Remember when I posted every day? Sometimes twice a day? yeah, that was cool. Then Facebook came along, and I just have to check that 8 times a day. I could have typed "eight" but I figured 8 was much cooler.
The Tour de France ended on Sunday. I wasn't able to watch a good majority of it because a) I was working in Austin and the only TV I had was the one in the main lobby and I doubt that anyone would want to watch the TdF except for me and my roommate, who spent almost two thirds of this summer earnings on a roadbike. and b) Part of the time I was with Molly, the Girl, who had a cast on her leg and I'm sure she didn't want to watch it.
So that is why I didn't have daily Tour updates. I'll try to hit some keynotes...the ones I remember.
First, my main man, Robbie McEwin. He won the first stage but in one of the first stages he crashed and didn't finish. I was sad. Anywho, Tom Boonen won the Green Jersey. I think I don't really mind any of the sprinters.
Robbie's teammate, Cadel Evans, placed second in the GC. Right behind him was Levi Leipheimer. He was recruited to Team Discovery Channel and was placed the team leader. Although he was taken out of this position in the last weekend and was replaced buy Alberto Contador, who won the Yellow Jersey (and, technically, the white jersey, he is only 24 years old.) DSC won the team competition in a landslide.
Big names were ousted from the tour due to doping charges, including Alexander Vinokourov and Michael Rasmussen (who was illegally held the Yellow Jersey for a majority of the race.)
The race was incredibly close, the closest of all time between the top three riders who were all within 31 seconds of eachother. |
